Roman Sampson One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
John Doe The movie is dull and stupid with actors that do act good but the story is poorly written, and not good.I give 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' a 5/10
Paul Evans The Mid to late nineties was a great time for those that loved Slasher movies, Scream seemed to reignite a forgotten genre, many followed. One of the best that came in my opinion was I know what you did last Summer. On paper it sounds like all the rest, group of kids on the run from a mad man in a costume with a deadly weapon. There is however a whole lot more to this movie, firstly the direction, I'm watching this twenty years on, and I can't believe how slick it still looks, very well edited, beautifully shot, the use of music is excellent also. It's very well acted, I enjoyed watching Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt most of all. Some really great scares, less comedic then the delivery in Scream, this was more serious, more blunt. Very enjoyable.
Dave This teen slasher is one of the best of its genre. It has good acting, mystery, thrills, hot girls and great killing scenes.I've marked it down because you shouldn't be able to see the characters' breath in the scene on the road on the first night, because it's set in July in North Carolina.
Dom Nickson Spoiler Alert! I personally am not a fan of this franchise because the story is just dumb. I mean a maniac kills kids just because they accidentally run him over. Also how the heck would he know who each one individually is? Like seriously what if they went to the police? There'd be no story. This is literally one of the worst concepts I've ever heard. On top of that all of the acting in this besides Bridget Wilson and Muse Watson sucked. The cop that dies looks like he's confused on how to act when he is stabbed to death by the Fisherman. This whole thing really is poor and I'd take Valentine(1999) any day compared to this film. Although some of the kills weren't too bad. I'll generously give it a 4 out of 10 instead of a 2 or a 3 out of 10.
