happy63616-734-522226 I really like Hilary Duff but this movie didn't really have any substance. The characters were not very 3-dimensional and not very believable as heiresses. Perhaps it was a combination of the wardrobe and the poor acting. The sisters have very similar voices so if you look away from the screen whilst you are watching then it's very difficult to differentiate between them. This was the first film I've seen Hayley Duff in and I wasn't impressed. However, I did watch the film all the way to the end. It was predictable but easy watching so if you wanted a film to just switch off to then this does the job. Perhaps the film would appeal more to younger girls.

Arrica Lee Well, it is not really bad. True, I watch it just because there are the Duffs in it but do give some credit to the crews for setting up the plot quite nicely. I must say the movie has some lame lines and not as funny as what I would have predicted from Hillary. But, this is Haylie's breakthrough act. She has a drop dead gorgeous face and a pretty good smile. Not to mention they boot in two hot guys. Material Girls has a plot almost familiar to us all because I think they could have been almost predictable. If they could add in some bizarre moments in between, it would have been beyond memorable. Not Hillary's best definitely, but worth a watch for those who are just too bored and need some romance to spice up their life. Not recommended though to those who loves action, thriller and will easily feel sleepy when watching a boring movie.

My comment for this movie is that the Duff's are great and looking hot in the movie and they give a great performance, very great performance!! Also, their performance also makes me laugh!! Every minute of the movie is entertaining and makes me want to watch it more, it didn't makes me bored and wants to leave the theater just want to enjoy eating french fries and drinking caramel machiatto, come on, get real!! I agree that it should be rated PG-13 because there are some inappropriate stuffs that parents might be advised to guide your beloved chubby children's the right way. So,i like to say, you rock girls!!

mec2137 I give this movie a solid 2. The acting is terrible. The plot is horrible. The sets are boring. You could turn the sound off and follow along without any problems it is so idiotic. What little plot there is, is predictable. There is really nothing redeeming about this film - except - the Duff girls. They are smoking hot. Based on those two pieces of eye candy alone, I give the "two".Without their looks I would give it a 0.If you want to watch a better chick teen flick, try Mean Girls. Or watch a real movie like Animal House or Bullitt or Gladiator or Apocolypto or Cinderella Man.
