Ella king So to start I would like to say even though it's a little different it kind of works the film is well done in many ways but also a little silly that being said I think it worked. I did like there was no talking in the opening few minutes set the tempo and the acting was OK for the most part, it's a different kind of ghost story but still done well.

I guess that is because they actually got beyond the first 69 minutes. I thought this sounded like a pretty good plot. However, it really didn't live up to the hype of the trailers. I am now writing some lines, because the IMDb thing won't let me post this if it isn't at least 10 lines long. I am not sure why they do that, but I am going to keep writing stuff until I get to at least 10 lines of text, or my fingers fall off.On another note, Mira Sorvino is still pretty hot.On a 2nd another note, they have a lot of nice scenery shots.
deborahlight71 I really don't understand the negative reviews other than this movie is not a fast paced, violent, bloody or shallow story. If that's what you want, you'll probably think this movie is too slow or boring. But for those who like movies as an art and a good story, this is a gem. I really, really enjoyed Shane West's performance as the ghost. I've never seen a performance like his and truly appreciated his acting ability. Mira Sorvino is good as the damaged, vulnerable yet independent woman who has major trust issues and a shaky past. The other ghost, the bad one, is a classic character. This movie surprises, scares and makes you think on many levels. The cinematography is beautiful. The island is the place dreams are made of. Give this movie a try. You'll be rewarded for sticking through till the end!
Michael Lane This feels like a film with a lot less money than they must have had, given that the cast includes Justin Kirk and Mira Sorvino. The camera work is remarkably amateurish, save the rare shot that any film fan can quickly recognize as directly lifted from other movies. Inappropriately scored, too, with sappy, upbeat romantic comedy music playing behind scenes that are meant to be chilling. Plot-wise, it's full of holes, leaving much unexplained. I wouldn't call it boring -- I was mesmerized, in fact, but for the wrong reason; I really still can't believe how bad this movie is. Felt like I needed a shower afterward to wash the stench of it off of me. Watch this movie with discerning film fans for a fun point-and-laugh experience.
