Synopsis

Love My Way is a Logie Award winning and critically acclaimed Australian television drama series. It won the AFI award for Best Television Drama Series for each of its three seasons. Love My Way was about a group of thirty-somethings dealing with the ups and downs of life. The series revolves around an extended family unit - Frankie Paige and Charlie Jackson are the separated parents of Lou, and Frankie also lives with Charlie's brother, Tom. As the series began, Charlie's new wife Julia is about to have their first child. Frankie's mother, Di and Charlie's mother Brenda and father Gerry also have a strong presence in the ongoing story, as does Julia's ex-lover Howard, who enters into a relationship with Frankie. Produced by John Edwards and Claudia Karvan, Love My Way starred Karvan, Sam Worthington, Dan Wyllie, Asher Keddie, Brendan Cowell, and Alex Cook. As the program was made for subscription television in Australia, it contained stronger material than most Australian programs: regular swearing, drug use and sexual references. When the series was launched, much was made of the connection between Love My Way and The Secret Life of Us: both sharing a star, as well as significant creative talent. However, the series is not a continuation of Secret Life, although it does share some thematic concerns.

Selfmageob This was not a good film.
Gurlyndrobb While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
splash_wog 'Love My Way' is, by far, Australia's most distinguished and outstanding drama ever to hit our screens. I cant think of any other time I have watched an Australian series, that has left me in awe and feel so many emotions. The scenery is impressive, the background in each scene is astonishing. The acting is phenomenal. The issues raised are real, absolute and heartfelt. Each character you will learn to either love or hate, but ultimately, you will care for them. When I think of 'THAT' episode, (for those of you who have seen it, you will know which one Im referring to), the last twenty minutes of that episode is arguably the finest and most convincing acting I've ever seen on an TV series or film. The reactions of the characters to the incident will forever be embittered in my memory. I don't think we'll ever see such a perfectly written drama ever again from Australia.
dolphinos3 I agree with all the others here. It's definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen!! The acting is brilliant and the story unfolding is just...right. It's not too much, it't just VERY realistic; it feels like life. How life is...Episode 8 and 9 probably gave me the worst (and with "worst" I don't mean it in a bad way, I mean tearful and absolutely heartbreaking) moments I've had on TV. I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. Actually, I'm still thinking...and grieving...Anyway, big thanks to all the actors and writers involved for giving me an absolutely fantastic TV-experience every Thursday here on the other side of the world. Can't wait for the the 2nd season!!!:)
medwar29 As I don't have Foxtel, I decided to rent the first series of Love My Way on DVD one weekend. (All 10 hours) Anyway I wasn't disappointed, this Aussie drama is fantastic. I have tried to get Foxtel just so as I can see the second series, but as I can't get this will have to wait for the second series to come out on DVD. The acting is amazing and so convincing, you actually feel like you are watching people in their real lives. I love the acting between Dan Wylie and Asher Keddie, and one particular episode was so amazing I watched it again. I have never cried so much watching television as I watched this episode unfold, and this was a tear jerker. Claudia Karvan's acting abilities blew me away in this episode.Definitely a must see if you have Foxtel and if not then rent or buy it on DVD. I can't wait to see the second series, and look forward to the third which has recently been announced as being produced shortly. I give this drama 10 out of 10 and 5 stars!
npaduart By chance I started watching Love my Way, first series. I was straightaway taken by the directness, the humor, the seriousness, the directing, the acting. At last, again, a series that shows life, as it is.Last night I saw the last episode to the second season. I think it brave to end so well. It would be easy to leave characters dangling on bad luck or despair. But life, after all, is bigger than that.Great, really great performances by all actors. Very convincing. Very well directed. I'm looking forward to a next season?! Nadine
