brinksace-1 Rented the movie because of Rosario Dawson was in it. The movie was very good. Makes you think of your days in school. But the best part to me was towards the end at Pretzels. When Reeves (Oscar Isaac) gets on stage to sing. A song he wrote for his high school crush (Kate Mara). Enjoyed movie went and bought it on Blu-Ray to seen many tines.
lamiaaos A film about the interlacing stories of a group of friends leaving their adult responsibilities behind to relive their high school years for one night, giving them a chance to see their friends one last time - to reignite a spark they forgot they ever had, to find closure with past relationships, or to forget their adult lives for a night and just be free once again. There were only a select few scenes that really resonated with me in this film - they felt very real and very raw with a dash of sweetness; and they all happen to occur in the second half of the movie, which is by far the better half. But despite the unquestionable chemistry between the on-screen actors as well as the realistic awkward tension between some of them, the film overall fell short. It didn't quite deliver all that it set out to.That being said, it still manages to give the viewer a delightful bitter sweet ride of nostalgia even if it leaves them wanting a tad bit more by the end. 6/10
spencergrande6 This is a movie of a loosely affiliated "types" all getting together for their reunion and every one of them just has this one storyline they need to take care of and resolve from their school days. Why this particular melange of characters would have ever hung out together I don't know. Why it's all so schmaltzy and corny, also I don't know. But it's somewhat pleasing and the cast is stupendous. Chris Pratt drunk acting is top-shelf stuff. Even Channing Tatum, while not fall-down inebriated at any point, does a very good low-level drunk face the whole movie - I'm pretty sure that's acting.
Pamodh De Silva One of my friends suggested me this movie and I've got to say, it made my school years rush back into memory as I was watching it. I personally think that movie is really underrated by users due to under popularity issues. If you are hoping to watch a movie with some of your old buddies (perhaps on a reunion), I'd totally recommend to you this movie. It'll be somewhat of a mellow one throughout but it will be enjoyable and it would certainly be able to bring back those high school memories. Even if it seems like too much information is stacked up into your brain so fast in the beginning, keep on watching till the end because all the pieces fit in nicely together to set up one of the most beautiful movies that you might stumble upon.P.S. The soundtracks are just placed beautifully!
