Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Mandeep Tyson The acting in this movie is really good.
turtlilp This movie was not exactly a disaster to me - but it still was horrible.First of all the children dying and the parents screaming take away WAY too much of the film. The more "interesting" part starts after more than half an hour. This is very boring to watch. Also, everything in this movie looked terribly unrealistic. I mean, I know that this is a low-budget movie, but... how the children die... the part at the beginning where he looks through the book is poorly animated like everything else in the rest of the movie (for example the bugs or flies flying out the girl's mouth). The story seemed good at the beginning but started to develop to an unclear state where it was really difficult to tell what was happening. And many parts of the story don't even make sense. If he can kill everyone with "light magic" or whatever, why did he fight with his fists in the first place? And he even magically lets the girl appear in front of him! Why didn't he do that earlier?Oh, and if we are talking about the fights... another unrealistic part of the movie. I don't know why they had to be in there. They are so unnecessary. The man didn't hit anyone really! I know that this doesn't happen in different movies either, but here you can CLEARLY see it.Another problem of the movie (I watched it in German since it's my native language) was the lip-syncing. I don't know how it is in the English version of the movie but in the German one it was a pain to watch.Lastly, the last negative thing I want to bring up here is... in one of the scenes near the end (in the forest) you can see a car in the background! Such a big mistake is unforgivable for ANY movie that isn't satirical! This movie is supposed to take place in the 19th century. All in all, it was a terrible movie, you can literally see how small the budget for this movie was. Even if I had some good laughs with my family - that was obviously only because it was so bad. Don't ever watch it. I don't recommend it anyone who doesn't love bad movies.
Other View The list of things wrong with this film is enormous & u should DEFINITELY SEE IT!!! I'm usually merciless on defective films but not this one. Despite amateurish production, hokey parts, frequent poor acting & comic-book editing, u can still see the (almost obscured by 3- Stoogery) creative, unique & interesting plot.Ciminera's take on the mechanics of the afterlife, demons (who look like ninjas), angels (who look like orderlies) and library books that check u out, all come together in a unique view of what's waiting for us. Even the hokey time limits in the non-living realm hint at the uniqueness of what otherwise could really be a far better film.Personally, I don't believe they really spent $5k making this movie (more like $250), but I don't really care (u won't either). Somebody MUST give Mr. Ciminera proper funding & professional personnel for the remake of this & his next couple of films. This guy has lots of heart, lots of uniqueness & lots of potential. He's a 1-of-a-kind, impoverished, culturally low rent mix of Rod Serling, the Pope & a Philly Cheese Steak....BUT WITH LOTS OF POTENTIAL!!! Watch him!!!
Steve Garold 6 Minutes certainly displayed more of a sense of humour than anticipated - Not exactly the scariest horror film ever made but enough to make you jump a few times, which is not, however, to say the director have eased up on the gore, offbeat violence and killing. You will find less blood in these films and more psyhcological thriller hence. 6 minutes of death is a bubbling with of lurid visuals, screaming rows and high-camp action. The perfect antidote, in other words, to all that this in a thriller made on a low budget. The director was a was a bit vague about its intentions where the movie would end up, it's clear that whatever happens will be entertaining, perplexing and, as always scary. The movie is currently is just about every VOD and DVD outlet known. Good job guys
Freddy Weg ^ minutes of death is still a very tense ride. Third time feature director Joe Ciminera ( relation to the chef on TV) clearly knows how to bring the horror. He's able to make this horror film into a strong ensemble piece, working with a talented cast at times, and yet he doesn't flinch from faithfully reproducing his take on a no script mania. This remains my best film of the year so far.The result is a film that is often chilling, but not over the top. The other performances tend to be uneven and underwritten as well. The premise of the movie is totally original and cleverly thought by Mr. Ciminera. Is it an excellent evocation of what the show was at its heart. Better yet, its clear and sharp focus means it stands alone just fine as a work unto itself, easily accessible as a more-than- competent thriller for anyone not familiar with Mr. Ciminera work. A director who seems to keep creating lots of good content quickly. Horror fans could lead contented live following his career. Got to show film makers how creative you can be on a 5,000 dollar budget
