CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Plustown A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
jahangirhussain74 I am totally surprised to see a good movie coming out from a brainless filmmaker David dhawan. Andaz is a really good movie. Anil Kapoor plays a professor at a college and he is often picked up on by his students. One of his students Jaya (played nicely by Karisma Kapoor) has a secret crush on him. However, Anil is happily married to a illiterate and orphaned village belle Saraswati (Juhi Chawla). The film is nit-picked with sub-plots like terrorists attacking the college and how the hero comes to the rescue. The lead actors Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Karisma Kapoor turn in decent performances. Actually, it's the ladies who take the cake from the hero here. Karisma is likable as the good hearted, spectacled silent admirer of the hero. Juhi is funny as the "moohfat" housewife who doesn't know how to cook.The songs are nice. The song "Maal Gadi Ko Dakka Laga" has some suggestive lyrics but the vulgarity is not overdone here. I'd say it's much better than the pelvic thrusts done by Govinda in the song "Sarkailo Katiya Jara Laga" from Raja Babu. Andaz is a brilliant time-pass flick. I give it 8/10.
Liakot Ali Andaz looks like a seemingly fun loving Bollywood film with top stars in this film. It is directed by David Dhawan who made many Hit movies in the past. Sadly the film is a complete bore with predictable and often cheap humour. The comedy is immature and looks like the script of a 7 year old child's. The movie stars Anil Kapoor who tries his best to be funny, but with a weak plot he couldn't save the film from being a Flop. Karishma Kapoor plays another unrealistic character like her usual roles and once again is a little irritating. Juhi chawla does look quite pretty and she does act a little good but her role is quite weak. The remaining supporting actors are average like Kader Khan and Shakti Kapoor. Raj Babbar was awful as the villain. The ending of the movie was a copy of another Bollywood Film Kranti Kshetra (1994) Mithun starrer. Which is also a copy of Low grade (But Fantastic) Movie Toy Soldiers.
