Mikel3 There are not to many films I have considered "unwatchable". This is one of them. From what I could tell before I had to finally turn it off. The acting is terrible, the plot is boring and poorly written, and the photography is annoying. I usually try to cut low budget films a lot of slack, but this film was just a total waste.There is only one way I can figure it's getting the few positive comments I see here. They must be from people associated with the production in some way.Do yourself a favor and avoid this like you would a steaming pile of werewolf dung.
honorundying First of all, i understand that this was low budget horror. As such i wasn't expecting a great film. But they could have at least found more than 1 person who could act better than a retarded Koala bear. Aside from Renee Porada, the "actors" seem as though the only experience they have is from porno movies...and not even well-written porno movies. The dialog seems to have been written in 5 minutes, or worse..Ad-libbed by the actors. The stunts were somewhat impressive but they hardly save the movie from its stupidity. All in all, if you are planning to see this film and expect a great werewolf action flick, keep your distance. But if you are looking from some cheap laughs, i highly recommend it.
deb-270 Lots of action, nudity, hard rock soundtrack, and some truly funny moments. Loved it. The writer/director also stars in the movie and the cast he picked for his movie is beyond what you expect from an truly low-budget film. Shot in, of all places, ERIE, PA? I was honestly impressed with the writing. The acting is somewhat over the top and at times it's hard to tell if it's intentional (for laughs) or if some of the actors are truly trying to seem menacing? I loved Blue Meanie and the lead actress. This movie is just what you think it will be....campy horror at it's low-budget best. I don't know where you can pick up the 3 DVD set anymore...amazon maybe? the set also included a CD with the soundtrack...which i loved.
tcoll32 This film was great. It was really well written and well acted. This is the type of movie that makes me love low budget horror. All of the heart goes into the story because they don't have the money to worry about expensive special effects and big Hollywood type egos. It is fast paced and moves with good speed. It takes a look at both sides of the issue of being cursed with lycanthrope. The cast was excellent with Lanny Poffo as a nice surprise as the leader of the hunters. Some may say the effects are cheesy but it is a low budget horror film so all of the work went into the story and acting. Wrestling fans will love the Blue Meanie as one of the werewolves. Just go to Amazon and order it. I know I didn't have any regrets.
