Ceticultsot Beautiful, moving film.
Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
tlstkehfl This movie was actually quite impressive. In the beginning it starts off a bit slow, but as the characters and story develops it kind of glues you to the screen. I would recommend this movie to fans who are into the post-apocalyptic stories. I wouldn't recommended this movie for people who easily feel sorry for the weak and helpless. I Love how these movies turn out. Starts off with a post-apocalyptic scenery and you really get to see how people react to it. This movie clearly shows how the most sane human beings can become when placed in these type of situations. The movie does time after time get out of hand, but overall it was still entertaining. Great movie in my opinion! I love post- apocalyptic movies, so I definitely had to check it out! It may be a little rough around the edges, but good performance from the cast and had a great story! The dialogue was up to par and had a great time watching it!
csa-69579 I HATE THESE TYPE OF MOVIES!!!! But this one I am a fond of. It's not like the other typical and predictable movies so it keeps you guessing throughout the story. PLUS!! Samantha Bolter is fine!!… And of course a good actress! I definitely recommend this movie if you are a fan of hers. I need to find out what other movies I can find her in! it was definitely an intriguing film. Even though the film is a bit amateur, every director has his or her start! Dan Rickard tells the story in a way that puts you in the shoes of the main character. He walks you through the story and somehow give you a taste of what it would be like if you were to wake up clueless and afraid. The acting could have been better, but with the budget they had to work with it is quite commendable. If you like zombie movies, you should definitely drop by and take a look! I certainly had no regrets in doing so.
kingslandbungalow The poster for "Darkest Day" says it all - "British Zombie Horror at its best" - if this is a separate genre then there's no hope at all!The movie blatantly rips-off 28 days movies - the main character awakes after an apocalypse with no memory of what has happened or how he got there. It's so blatant I can't believe the movie was green-lighted - but then again looking at the credits it seems to be a vanity/conceit piece for the main actor (who I think is the director too). This explains why the main actor is soooo wooden and the directing total crap.Characters seem to behave in unpredictable and unlikely ways, stare at the camera, overact or underact and are essentially unbelievable. There is an amazingly ineffective army, an amazingly over-effective character who single-handedly beats up a whole hoard of zombies, dumb characters who get over the death of their friends and family in a heartbeat, and loads of really bad special effects. A character also seems to die from a broken arm for some reason...At the end the main character kills himself for no real reason - I only wish he'd saved us all the time and done it in the first scene of this turd of a movie.
northlandsalvia Don't be put off of the negative reviews on this, as it is a bit of a gem in its own right & shows what can be done on a tight budget & a cast of unknowns.I personally enjoyed the chaotic shaky filming during the 'cat and mouse scenes' that pitted the infected against the uninfected.Yeah, sure there was a '28 Days Later' feel about the movie but I didn't find it boring at all.So much so, I am quietly hoping there will be a sequel with the main character turning up on a beach '28 Weeks Later' The Infected theme has well & truly been traversed many times but there's still room for an Infected movie with an innovative flair. In summary: Good cinematography A good story was gleaned out of a cast of unknowns although the odd cast member was a little 'Wooden' in their gesticulations.Rose above its obvious budgetary limitations. So yeah, give it a try, if you're an 'Infected' fan this will satisfy your cravings.
