Synopsis

Thirty years ago, aliens arrive on Earth. Not to conquer or give aid, but to find refuge from their dying planet. Separated from humans in a South African area called District 9, the aliens are managed by Multi-National United, which is unconcerned with the aliens' welfare but will do anything to master their advanced technology. When a company field agent contracts a mysterious virus that begins to alter his DNA, there is only one place he can hide: District 9.

Cubussoli Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Tony When you find yourself thinking about a film many times after viewing - particularly the final image. Very well done .

amonmail-43465 I personally loved this movie. Instead of the generic alien attack portrayed by most sci-fi movies, this one gives a more realistic approach if an alien race came to earth with no place to live and nothing to eat. It's really interesting to see them semi-integrated in society, and how the humans treat them. I felt really bad for the Prawns after watching the movie because they were discriminated and treated really realistically. I also enjoyed the action and creative weaponry and technology.
Etanah Nero District 9 is a masterpiece in cinemas and I feel is underrated. First off, it has a realistic vibe to it. I love how this film was directed in a documentary style. The CGI is phenomenal and is years ahead of its time. The aliens look amazing. I'm glad Peter Jackson produced this film because he proved that he is the master of CG with King Kong and the LotR Trilogy. Overall this movie is awesome and I'm hoping for a new one soon enough.
