Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
feyipuk For a guy who's made a career out of playing rogue police officers - most notably the white vest wearing, Officer Mcclane - out to thwart the bad guys, while everyone else is completely clueless, how many films has he been in uniform? I can think of Moonrise Kingdom, but he wasn't very competent in that. So this is a little different.
Here, we have Hayden Christensen - a stock broker - and Megan Leonard - a Dr - who are parents of Ty Shelton; a kid who's being bullied at school. To try and toughen him up, his father does what any one who grew up to be Darth Vader would do, and takes the kid out to learn to kill deer back at where his dad taught him to do so. In doing so, they get caught in a heist gone wrong and has to do what needs to be done.
Yeah, there are plenty of plot holes and a few moments of suspended belief required. The acting is wooden in parts and I left with a few more questions than the film gave answers.
The cinematography was edgy, but did tend to linger a lot on Christensen.The only really interesting relationship was between Ty Shelton and Gethin Anthony.
An interesting film, with a predictable outcome.
claire_page-13957 Good movie. Bruce Willis wasn't to great at acting in it though and felt some scenes were sloppy. Felt the bond between the father and son was a little fake. Other than that it was an enjoyable movie and would watch it again
IvnSoft Awful. Another Bruce-bait movie. He delivers an incredibly flat performance. All the cast do. The script is stupid (i mean, its like the script for a cartoon), and the pace is slow and weird.Looks like they spent all the budget in Willis, because the cameraman doesn't seem to hold the camera in its place, or the camera is put on a spring to the floor. Action scenes don't look fast, they look epileptic.The one good thing i could save from the movie, was the advice Levi gives the kid. And that's it. The rest, is just awful. If you are going to pay to watch this movie... DON'T. If you value your time, go watch another movie, or play a game.. or sleep. Almost anything is better than this.
tlarraya This movie was terrible. It's predictable. It is pro-guns. It is all about how if you are a good shot and can kill people and teach your kid to shoot a deer then you can protect your family and you are a great dad and you are an all-around great American guy. It was hurtful to watch. It was so bad. No story here, no intelligent twist, no surprises.
