Synopsis

Fishing Naked is a comedy. It is a film about four young adults being bad in the woods. They pull Bigfoot hoaxes, scare tourists, disrespect their elders, hook up and smoke dope. That is until they realize there is an alien creature they have inadvertently put in harms way with all the attention they have been attracting to their rural mountain community. As their relationships fray, they hatch a half-baked plot to pull the biggest hoax yet to right their wrongs by deliberately getting caught in the act.

Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
atomicis You're too old. The performances and the production leave nothing to be desired (how they managed to shoot moving interior shots of the actors' faces despite the strobes on the police cars I do not know). This movie could reach cult status, and would make a great date-night flick! It's happy and uplifting; and, as George Carlin said, "I see nothing that offends me here" (quoting the chicken to the McNugget).Just enough nudity to be (literally) titillating (sorry)... but Elyse Levesque is too darn hot.I do believe there is a negative-publicity campaign against this movie, as has been mentioned here, and I have no relation to the filmmakers as far as you know... ha, really, this film is an enjoyable way to immerse oneself in "The Movies" like we used to do many moons ago.
Janet Laylor To start, don't expect nudity in this movie. It's a running joke. Not that 2 of the female leads aren't pretty, but that's the norm for many movies of this ilk. What sets this apart is some native American authenticity which somewhat plays into the plot, but the writing is so poor and the dialog so stilted as to lose that part of the plot. animation/CGI is a joke but to be expected for this budget. The two secondary Native American actors, the 'grandma' and 'police chief' are by far the most naturally funny (and with the best lines) that i honestly can say i laughed or chuckled at - and i tend to be a bit jaded. The FBI agents, the corporate guy, the pseudo photographer are painful and one-dimensional stereotypes, which help make this a grade C film.Sadly, it has possibilities. I wish the writer/director/editor had managed to find someone to double check their script and give the actors better lines. It's hard to tell if the acting was just poor or the script just made them look bad.All that said, I did not stop watching. I even enjoyed parts of it but suffered a bit from high expectations. Read this review, and a few of the other negative ones and then watch it. You might be surprised to also give it a "C". In summation, fun idea, a few good actors, a lot of bad actors, terrible script, cheap CGI, nice location, some authenticism.
massyk This movie was terrible, with poor acting, poor jokes and no real plot.I only chose to watch this movie because I enjoyed watching Elyse Levesque from Stargate Universe but unfortunately even her performance was a disappointment. There was a lot of over the top characters that just came of ridiculous and not funny at all.But the icing on the cake was the grandmother who throughout the movie appeared to be in a daze unaware that she was suppose to be doing something called acting. If her purpose was to read lines in a flat tone and show no emotion, then she did a bang up job.Can it still be considered a comedy if it doesn't make you laugh or chuckle or even smile? As far as the fake 10 star reviews go, I cant help but wonder which one of the idiot actors or crew decided it would be a good idea.Unfortunately this movie was horrible and I would urge you to pay to NOT watch this. Seriously if someone offers to screen this movie for you, pay them money to instead burn their copy of this movie.Don't waste your time, its too precious to waste on this.
EyeBehold I watched this film with my family. My grandma laughed, my sister laughed, my mom laugh. This comedy reached a multi-generational audience. It's a cute film, with of course some hiccups, but that's to be expected when trying to do a film of this scale with an independent budget. With that being said, the cinematography was beautiful. You could tell the director spent a lot of money trying to give it a big budget feel. The acting was all great. Was especially surprised with some of the minor characters. My favorite scenes were with Grandma and Art, they brought a subtle realism to the movie. I'd say this film is like "Roger Rabbit meets Dude where's my Car meets Smoke Signals"If you're looking for a lighthearted film, that has heart, silly humor, and mischief; then go watch this film. If you're going to dissect every bit of it, be disappointed that there wasn't anyone actually naked, and watch it like it should be nominated for the Oscars; then I would say find a different film to watch. All in all for an independent comedy/romance, the filmmakers did a good job and I look forward to seeing what they can do in the future.
