Paynbob It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

korgpaxkorg Great movie that shows you not everything is as true honest as it seems. A team of mother and daughter play the perfect duo to work their way through easy money from men that fall in the trap and are charmed by these two. The movie has humour as well and really funny at times.Really enjoyed it

Davis P Heartbreakers (2001) starring Jennifer love Hewitt, Sigourney Weaver, Ray Liotta, and Gene Hackman is a very funny well done comedy about conwomen mother and daughter. I loved the casting, Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer love Hewitt play their roles very well and they have good on screen chemistry as a team. Ray liotta is alright I guess, his role is super duper important but he's alright, and then Hackman is funny in what little of a role he has. The script has its definite funny moments and I was never bored with what was happening, I never checked to see if the film was getting close to being over. What these women do is one of them will start seeing a very wealthy man, eventually marry him, and then the other will seduce the man hours or a day after, the other woman walks in on it, then divorces him and they get a huge load of money to play around with. I thought it was a pretty well thought out good premise. The movie has some real romance mixed in not just conning and pretending. What real romance did happen was natural seeming and the chemistry worked. Overall, this is a pretty funny film that I think just about anyone would enjoy and it's got an A list cast that does a great job with the well put together writing. 8/10 for Heartbreakers.

Nobody-27 What a god-awful film! My... oh my. After watching the first few minutes, I thought "This wouldn't be a setup where such and such thing happens..." and sure enough, I guessed the whole stupid film right there. And no, I am not psychic. It is the film that is as predictable as weather in LA. Funny, I couldn't even force myself to watch it with help of fast-forward button; yes, skipping every few minutes, and just making sure that the story was going where I thought it would, was still too boring.Not a single good joke, nothing to watch out for. Heck, I didn't even find normally beautiful women such as JLH and SW to be pretty at all. Everything failed on every level.

S. J. Lewis Before I saw her in this film I'd never paid much attention to Jennifer Love Hewitt, since I'd never been much of a fan of horror/dead teenager movies. In 'Heartbreakers', she showed a lot of cleavage, a LOT of leg, and a real talent for both light and physical comedy. I thought that she played very well opposite Sigourney Weaver and still hope that they might team up again some day.There aren't a lot of movies that I'll watch over again, but this is one of them. Ray Liotta is good, if not on screen for most of the film, Gene Hackman is entertaining as a tobacco magnate with a persistent hacking cough, and I always like seeing Anne Bancroft. This is a caper/con game movie driven by the interactions of some very interesting characters.
