AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Numerootno A story that's too fascinating to pass by...
Tayyab Torres Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Kaat1220 I liked this movie and how it skirts around the issue of Adam's sexuality. While he seems interested in his girlfriend, there is definite interest in Jamie. I like how they use Adam feeding Jamie words in place of consummating a sexual relationship. However, I am glad that they never took it further. It was a beautiful and confusing friendship. That being said . . .I took points off due to the deer hanging from the basketball hoop the entire winter. Please tell me they did not kill a deer just to stick it in a movie? Even if it were killed for food, it is disrespectful to leave it out that long. This movie has a message that we should all be more compassionate toward each other, but you have a once-living thing strung up the entire movie and no one thinks twice about it.I found it sad, disturbing, and distracting . . . I almost stopped watching.
Rodrigo Smithian -Based on the Novel "One For Sorrow" by Christopher Barzak.A Boy found dead by the river start to hunting.Jamie Marks is a geeky nerd, bully victim found dead by a girl called Gracie. This young couple starts making contact with the deceased. Adam gets in trouble with his family and run away with Jamie and they found a troubled ghost called Frances.Sadly, Jamie's murderers never revealed. The movie is kind of slow, but good. You expect that the ghost is getting psycho and makes you think that if Adam leaves him, Jamie is gonna hurt him somehow. This movie is eerie and cold. The development is good, the acting is exceptional. Unfortunately, you can think for one second that Jamie Marks is a gay ghost. But it only works on the imagination.I recommend this movie for the originality of the elements. The story really works out for me, I had a lot of fun. Is a good movie indeed.
obit213-394-42220 I found this eerie story of a dead boy returning to the living in order to find love and friendship.....different and poignant. I do, however, have one complaint to make. There was no need whatsoever to show the fawn hanging from the goalpost! It has nothing to do with the plot and I found it disturbing. Cruelty to animals is real enough without using it in a film. Please, producers and directors, don't use cruelty to animals in your films; it distracts me to the point I don't want to finish watching the movie, and I am not alone.Thank you for considering my request.
fitch1970-695-315390 I really enjoyed this movie. There is no gore or stupid special effects, and is a drama more than a "scary" movie. The acting is good and the characters believable. I agree with the other user that this is a haunting film as It left me speechless and melancholy. Please give this film a chance-there are parts that my husband seemed to be bored with, like maybe they dragged out too much for him, but I found every minute to be intriguing, endearing, or slightly disturbing. I would watch this again but I need time to recover from watching it the first time. It took something out of me and I believe this is because the characters are so real and you feel their emotions.
