Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Steineded How sad is this?
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
davidzwashington This is a story of a "reformed" vampire living outside New York City who turns handsome screenwriter Paolo, whereupon they begin sharing a life together as she gradually introduces him to higher society. All is going well until her troubled sister moves in with her while her house is being established in Phoenix.I thought Milo and the two female leads were really, really strong. Great, believable performances. True emotions. Fantastic job to all of them. The woman who portrayed the stage actress was also wonderful. However, the editing of this film is REALLY bad. The photography is beautiful and the acting is all brilliant, but the awkward editing and sound effects (the door bell noise? Please re-edit that with someone knocking on the door. The bird chirping is also really bad) take the viewer out of the moment. There were a lot of jarring cuts that made a beautiful, cinematic moment then transition into something that seemed very amateurish. The work deserves better. If this film was RE-EDITED (please, please do this and re-release a director's cut or something) and sound effects were redone, it would be much improved.

It has a solid love story and is very sensual...oh and there are vampires, too. It's not the scary, Jump horror that you might want...but the cinematography was really underrated. "I would have done anything to be with you. However insane"...it's almost as if Nicholas Sparks wrote a vampire movie.  No I wouldn't do that to my fellow horror movie fans...this is well worth a look!
guisreis While most of the vampires in the film try to control their nature, it is shown as marked by lust, brutality, power, and some weaknesses, just as they it is supposed to be. It is a very nice vampire movie! The scenes of hunt and of biting are great. There is possibly also the best vampirization scene I've ever seen! Very sensual! Characters are well developed and particularly the three main vampiresses are great. The story starts amazingly, perhaps becomes less interesting after the first turning point, but afterwards goes back to its greatest moments. The strength of the vampires may be their weakness, and all of them may face it anytime.
Taryn E Halgat I'm a huge fan of all vampire movies... the good, the bad, and the really bad. I knew when I first saw the trailer for this movie it was going to be a tad different from the brooding sparkly vampire teenagers we've come to know over the past several years and I was right. So often vampire movies become campy predictable interpretations that completely miss the mark but this film was dead on (pun intended) From it's stylized 70's themed wardrobe and settings to it's fantastically melodramatic soundtrack it had me absolutely captivated right from the beginning. It's a classic conflicted love story with all the predictable ups and downs complete with a very convincing sociopathic villain but what sets it far apart from the rest of the campy vamp trash that's plagued our cinema screens recently is it's realistic take on a very unrealistic supernatural lifestyle. This movie did a fantastic job of expressing the constant turmoil, trials, and tribulations of a modern day vamp without over glorifying or glamorizing anything. It was gory, captivating, and seductive at all the right times and in my opinion one of the better vamp films I've ever seen.
