Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Kimball Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
rainabosniac I went to watch this movie expecting something absolutely horrendous, but fortunately I was pleasantly surprised. The acting was great, the directing was absolutely stunning and the plot was so unique. Or it may not have been, I wouldn't know, I'm not one for horror movies. But I absolutely loved it. There were enough horror elements in it, but not too many for it to be unwatchable. One thing that ruined it for me was the conclusion. Let me clarify what I mean: there was the end, where you found out what happens to everything and everyone and then there was the conclusion, where you found out how these people went on living their lives. I was okay with the ending, but the conclusion felt just sick for me really. I kind of ignored it to be honest. That didn't ruin the whole movie for me, so I definitely recommend it. One of the best (and few) horror movies I have watched.
martimusross A tight script, unexpected turns, well acted, a brooding menace. I liked this movie very clever script and beautifully shot.
m-tomlinson87 Saw this last night! Highly recommend this film! Don't expect the scariest film you've ever seen go in with an open mind and watch. Avoid spoilers! Never thought I'd see the day a 'scary' film would affect me like it did and leave me at the end fighting back tears! A ghost story with meaning!
juanmuscle This was so beautiful from beginning to fin, I can't express the subtle nuance , the storytelling by degrees induces us to question, they were never plot holes but a slight adjustment to the psychology of the protagonist and sure enough the unraveling of the delicious ending, the ending was the best part, for all the horrible turmoil a person can go through and have someone there to say I will love you no matter what , even if your heart is crushed whereby you now lapse into this whole other world and you have a terrible bump on your head that unfortunately leaves you there indefinitely forever, and lets not even fix it because darling it is wonderful, and if it brings you just a tiny bit of joy, then it releases a deluge of happiness for me. It was at some point that I just started to feel in my heart the adorable creator of 'The Orphanage' And sure enough, when this magical tale was over I IMDBed this and it was the same person. And I told myself I knew it, this person, creates with their heart, everything that spill on the page is from the heart, what we see is a manifestation of the heart , for in the heart there are no rules, there is just hope, and love, and vision and dreams, I love this person with all my heart. I can only hope I get to experience all this person's art!
