Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Candida It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

Maddie This movie left me satisfied from the beginning, to the middle, to the end. This movie was splendid, many jump scares around every scene. But, this movie had its rough edges too, like the reality to the story. Some of the things were left un accounted for, like, the priest. Wasn't he going to go with the main blonde to try and get her family out of the house? Where did he go at the last minute?And, after he killed the dog, where did he put the dog?But, it was an 8/10 on my part. Pretty good! (And scary.) P.S. The ending was very creepy!
marikal-58972 Please be advise...they have mentioned that the wife climbs into the bed with her husband after she removes her nightgown... she is only wearing a pantie and you do she her breasts half. For me this information should have been added.The wife and husband is having sex and it is shown with her on top moving slow.You do her a lot of your cleavage. You see her from the front and the back as well. I really think they should have added this! It was really disappointing that not all the information was provided and that my husband and I had to see this. We are religious and do not watch these type of stuff
Davis P The 2005 version of The Amittyville Horror was overall disappointing and week. Ryan Reynolds was a BAD choice for the lead, yes he may have a nice body with abs, but that doesn't make him right for this type of lead in this particular film. The acting was bad and wooden from all the actors. The child actors actually did a pretty good job, just not the adult actors. The action was bad and rather stupid. This movie was NOT scary at all, and the jump scares were predictable and very cliché. The movie had potential to be so much better, but it ultimately wasted it's potential. 2/10 for The Amittyville Horror (2005). I apologize for not being able to compare it the 1979 version of the the film, due to the fact that I have not yet seen it, but if it is anything like this, then I don't think I want to see it.
