Synopsis

In February of 1959, nine Russian hikers ventured into a remote area of the Ural Mountains. Two weeks later, all of them were found dead. What happened is a mystery that has baffled investigators and researchers for decades. It has become known as the Dyatlov Pass Incident. When five ambitious American college students are issued a grant to return to the site of the original events, they gear up with the belief that they can uncover and document the truth of what happened to the supposedly experienced hikers. But what they find is more shocking than anything they could have imagined. Retracing the steps of the Russians' ill-fated journey, the students are plagued by strange and increasingly terrifying phenomena that suggest that in spite of the desolate surroundings, they are not alone. The forces at work in the Dyatlov Pass Incident have been waiting for them.

Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Borserie it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Edwin The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
jhmoondance Brilliant film but I would suggest watching the Philadelphia experiment before hand as there's a brief correlation between the two.A strange thought provoking film based on actual events n captures the imagination! Must see for supernatural buffs.
bnewman-90010 What more can be said? It's Blair Witch with snow!
inkwarp one thing i can say with certainty is i had no expectations ( no high ones at least), and i was expecting something quite mediocre when i saw renny harlin's name attached as director. certainly his career has been on a downward trajectory of late. but, i have to confess, i found this kind of compelling. there are certainly some interesting ideas even if they don't resolve satisfactorily some of the time . it definitely goes some strange places i wasn't expecting. the mountain scenes are really atmospheric, the actors do well with the material they have. and what starts as a 'found- footage movie' gives way to a sci-fi/horror hybrid. i watched it on a rainy night and didn't feel i'd wasted my time - it got me interested in looking into the real-life mystery so it had some positive effect. i recommend it. it's uneven and sometimes fails to hit the target but this is certainly atmospheric and creepy and shows that the die hard 2 director still has some shots in the sling... i'm going to give it 6 for effort at least : )
nancy Based on the true story of The Dyatlov Incident, Devils Pass is a pretty interesting watch. The Dyatlov Pass Incident, a genuine Russian mystery from 1959, is about nine hikers who were found dead in the Ural Mountains.A mixed group set-out to film and retrace the steps of the original hikers on the mountain Kholat Syakhi, also known as the Dyatlov's pass. The American Hikers J. P. and Audy are hired as expert climbers for the journey. While, the student film crew consists of Holly, Denise and Jensen.Prior to the hike, the team find out that more bodies were found dead than the reported nine, which only helps to add to the conspiracy that the Russian Government might have been involved in sweeping facts under the rug. With believable acting and an interesting story, while being based around true events, Devil's Pass is definitely worth a watch for horror fans and conspiracy theorists.
