Perry Kate Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
JinRoz For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
wbuttle I thought that the first season was good, well developed characters. And a good ending to prepare for second 2. Season Two on the other hand was anti climatic. I looked forward to seeing what would happen with Clay, Alex, Bryce and Tyler. Their were few good things about Season 2 like Zach and Alex's friendship, Zach and Hannah and Tyler. The worst thing of Season Two... Clay Jensen! He became this annoying jealous guy and completely ruined his first season performance.
modyprosaad But season 2 is bad especially the last episode of the series
Paul Evans I'm always stunned when I see a show with such a high rating, but one that has such successful low scoring reviews. Having read a few reviews I'm surprised to see people that hated the show, stuck with it, until series two's conclusion. A mystery to me.Personally I really enjoyed 13 reasons why, and far from glamourising teen suicide, I believe it showed it to be a hirrifhoact, with long reaching factors, and I believe it also showed the pressures faced by today's young generation, the pressures and expectations they feel they must live up to.Some episodes were better then others, but the high standard of storytelling and acting was maintained throughout. I think the Hannah Baker plot has now reached saturation point, so I'm relieved to see she won't appear in the third series.I must take issue with the producers for making the infamous toilet scene so graphic, that was totally unnecessary.Hopefully this show can help someone who's feeling particularly low realise that life is supremely precious.
krissalee85 If you have experienced assault, I do not recommend this show. It brought up extremely painful memories for me and left me engulfed in a cloud of darkness that was difficult to shake for days after watching. I would not recommend this show to highly empathetic people either because the agony that these kids are going through can seep through the screen and into you. Season 1 was powerful. It was painful to watch but I found it worthwhile, especially for parents to get a peak into the drama of high school life. Season 2 was dull at times and gut-stabbing at others, especially a scene in episode 12. There is an excessive amount of graphic, violent msex scenes. Although they were disturbing to watch, I did thinking the bad guy would get what he deserves. SPOILER- He doesn't. The lessons learned here are that high school can be a horrible experience, rich people can get away with anything, and most women have experienced sexual assault. Yay!
