Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
qui_j The first few episodes in Series 1 were really good but by episode 4, the writer seemed to have lost the plot and started to develop ridiculous situations that were beyond fantasy. This was not helped by miscasting. What holds the viewers attention is not the plot but more the private lives of the characters. The lead actor is not a physically imposing personality, and one just keeps wanting to put him in his pajamas and send him off to bed! I'm not saying it's not watchable, it's just not that great!
MartinJoKing Series 1, 2 and 3 have it all: logical but endlessly twisting storylines, believable and deep characters who develop through the episodes, and literally breathtaking action. The best I've seen on DVD in years.
richard-smith-67 I stumbled across this on Netflix four days ago. I think I'd heard it was good a few years ago but didn't take much notice. After all, every TV show seems to be good nowadays. I've watched all three series since. It's superb. And generally police/crime shows bore me senseless. I can give it no higher praise.
gsandra614 This is a well-done police series that requires you to pay attention because the plot is complex and the players are all interesting. I don't know why, but British crime series are uniformly better than what the U.S. produces. I love Acorn TV because it carries a lot of European and Australian productions. I could hardly stop watching this involving Line of Duty series. Highly recommend.
