Borserie it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.
Casey Duggan It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Curt Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.
Aunt Agonist Stumbled across this on 'QUEST' while channel hopping. Having been a fan of Ice Road Truckers for a while, I was getting bored with the on screen 'conflict' between shipping companies then found this gem from Australia. Firstly, they drive on the right side of the road (the left) the language and sense of humour etc are more recognisable to my Brit way of thinking. It's not all about the language though, I get a real sense of camaraderie between drivers and their co-drivers and the people they come across, quite often the co-drivers are spouses, because of this personal connection IRT does appear cold, no pun intended. OT shows locals gathering together to help drivers get out of sticky situations. They often invite drivers to their homes and feed and water them, offer advice about local road black spots and weather. All in all I look forward to seeing OT in the 'My recordings' folder.
