Synopsis

ReGenesis is a Canadian television program produced by The Movie Network and Movie Central in conjunction with Shaftesbury Films. The series, which ran for four seasons, revolves around the scientists of NorBAC, a fictional organization with a lab based in Toronto. The organization investigates problems of a scientific nature, such as bio-terrorism, mysterious diseases or radical changes in environment throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico. NorBAC is headed by David Sandström, the chief scientist and molecular biologist. Through this character the show often addresses topical social, political and ethical issues related to the science at hand. The series was originally seen on The Movie Network and Movie Central with rebroadcasts on Global and Showcase in Canada. Internationally it can be seen on FX in the United Kingdom, The Science Channel, Halogen TV and in syndication and CW Plus in the United States, and FX Latin America in Mexico; as well as numerous broadcasters in Europe and Asia. International distribution is handled by Oasis International. As of April 2012 the show can also be seen on Hulu.com.

Exoticalot People are voting emotionally.
JinRoz For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
Bea Swanson This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Candida It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
bigstickgreg I got hooked on this while viewing options on amazon.com prime videos. As I had watched only a few episodes of "House", I didn't expect this series to keep my interest, and only selected it as something different to watch. The plots behind each of the episodes are addictive. I end up wanting to know more about medical science, pharmaceutical companies, and elected officials' input into finding cures for a variety of medical issues. I enjoy about everything in this series: acting, sets, filmography, topics, parallel scene roll-backs, and true-to-life comparisons of medical issues' reality. Kudos to everyone involved with this production. I'm only into the first four episodes of season 2, and I hope it continues on this path of excellence.
fclive-475-588773 Really enjoyed this series which has only just reached Australia. One of the cable channels out here screened 5 episodes a week so it was just like watching the boxed set.Seasons 1 and 2 in particular were very good. Some of the story lines in Seasons 3 and 4 stretched the imagination a bit too far but they had created such a great group of characters by that time that it didn't really matter. In particular Peter Outerbridge as David Sandstrom was a great lead character. It will be missed.
osokona-719-342906 This must be the worst TV show I have ever started watching. The main actor is so bad that I am still wondering how he was selected for the role. People giving a 7 to this must not be watching too many shows.I will give a 6 for the story, 4 for the dialogs, 1 for acting. By the way, I only watched the first 2 episodes.Peter Outerbridge does not have a scientist look or behavior. I think he is the worst actor in the show.Everything is exaggeration, repetition and boring endless scenes. The worst of witch is all the gibberish on the blackboard scenes. The whole thing moves too slowly to my liking.
roopo If you know something about biotechnology and chemistry etc., try to figure out what is wrong with the plots. An old master's degree in biochemistry is not always enough to find those out, and maybe some are quite possible. In addition, the personal issues in the series are interesting also from the scientific point of view. Sadly, missed the first episodes of season two, as the series airs on a minor channel here, luckily a DVD-set should become available. The most upsetting and nerve-wrecking currently airing TV-series for me, some episodes have even made me lose my sleep. Other episodes have kept me thinking for a couple of days after seeing them. I highly recommend this series to anyone thinking about scientific career or to someone already in a one.
