Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
mollyrachar This series continues to hold my interest, even when the characters behave in a way that I didn't expect. There are some good twists and it shows that believing in this religion is different to many of the characters. All the acting is very good.
wildblueyonder I"ve been semi-binging this for the last few days so perhaps I'm a little bit critical... I find that a lot of shows tend to get stale if you watch 20 or so episodes in a short period. That said its an enjoyable show but I find its kinda going nowhere, and under a microscope the characters all are maddeningly all over the map. I do think there is some aspect of this that is planned - the whole 'to err is human' thing - but it really leaves you with no characters to root for... Actually Hugh Dancy does a great job - he is a thoroughly hateable character! [But really they're all hateable to a degree, and in the end the whole thing devolves into a glorified soap opera. So, if you're into that sort of thing... To me its all pretty anti-climactic. Every time you think there's gonna be some 'game-changer' it just gets harmlessly resolved and the characters go on with their backstabbing, waffling ways.So I guess, strangely, I would recommend the show and I'm still watching it - just starting season 3 - but that said I would also recommend not binge watching it.
jrushelkins Very interesting and entertaining! Superb cast! Sometimes the story is a little slow going, but hang on because there is always a interesting twist around the corner. Please keep this show going!
mailofthefuture "The Path" will appeal to anybody who has ever attempted to start their own religious or spiritual path, which indirectly involves every person in some way or another. The acting is fantastic. Aaron Paul & Michelle Monaghan are always very good, so no real surprise there. But they also co-produced this, & I think they did outstanding work. The show is one of those with very complex characters, real life people who you can identify with their pain & struggles. The star though is Hugh Dancy who plays Cal, the leader of "Meyerism." I've never seen him before, but he totally kills it and steals the show. I would give him an Oscar for best actor, hands down. Bravo Hugh!
