malloryculver I was expecting another shallow Cinderella story movie, but this movie went deeper and appealed to me especially because I am a mental health counselor. This movie portrayed the unfortnate reality of abuse while maintaining the fairy tale esque story line. It provided a picture of how children may not recognize or communicate effectively that they are victims. The "prince" character showed an example of how one can show genuine interest in gettting to know someone and then step up when it becomes evident that abuse is happening. We might never know how many people around us are living in harmful situations, but we can all do our part by being aware and willing to take action. Great movie! I recommend it for sure.

airdyvix The story in itself is nice in a way that it is indeed a modern day Cinderella, and I particularly like how it highlights who are your real friends (genuinely interested in you) and who are not. That earns all the four stars I gave. However, they could do better in the acting department: when Indy goes mad at her aunt and uncle and the scene is supposed to make you emotional but it just makes you laugh because the acting is so poor and it feels like she is just trying to not forget her script or something, no anger shown at all. And her uncle and aunt are the worst ever!!! The whole cast deserves minus 10 stars.
